LM Multi Solution is a 100% black woman-owned company that specialises in the collection and safe disposal of hazardous medical waste material. It is currently based in Malelane, Mpumalanga and operates throughout the Mpumalanga and Limpopo provinces. The company offers an essential service to health care centres, medical rooms, funeral parlours, laboratories, veterinary clinics and pharmacies, as well as in the mining and chemical-producing sectors.
Our Story
Owner Lerato M Shongwe identified the need for this essential service when she saw how her grandmother struggled to dispose of her used insulin syringes. Several local doctors and pharmacists were experiencing the same disposal problem with the rest of their medical waste. After extensive research into the disposal procedures and hazards related to medical waste, LM Multi Solution was established as a medical waste consultant and has since grown to provide many other services as well.
From a very small beginning, LM Multi Solution has grown to 2 full-time drivers and over 30 clients. The company is recognised for its technical expertise, commitment to safety and determination to protect its clients from liability or harm. It provides efficient cost-effective management of hazardous waste in an environmentally friendly way, and has teamed up with Licensed HealthCare Waste Treatment Facilities i.e Averda and Enviroserv to ensure only the highest quality service is delivered.
Lerato (M) Shongwe is so confident in the expertise and commitment her business offers that she gave her initials to the business. This, combined with the multiple solutions she offers, created the name of the business today.

Short Term
Maintain our superior level of service whilst increasing our administrative capacity to match the growth in the business, gain access to the tendering systems, both private and public, increase the number of vehicles on the road and create more employment opportunities in the process.
Long Term
Be the leading hazardous waste operator in the region with its own treatment facility, the first in Mpumalanga, with collection branches throughout Southern Africa. A fleet of vehicles will meet the logistics requirements and will include vehicles that can access rural areas, since this is where the biggest challenge lies.
